Greenwarren House is an early 19th century residence situated in the small Devon village of Beaford. It was established in 1966 by the Dartington Hall Trust as England's first rural art centre.
Here we offer catering, accommodation and work space (including music room and pottery) for a variety of groups such as:Schools...
...to offer their students a residential experience in a safe environment, where they can use the arts to explore a whole range of ideas and topics.
Businesses, organisations and voluntary groups...
...for away days, conferences and training when they are seeking a quiet, peaceful location.
Local authorities...
...for young people with a variety of specialist needs - from pupils with learning or behavioural difficulties to enrichment programmes for the gifted and talented.
The Centre is also the home of the mobile arts team and is, therefore, a working arts centre for the surrounding community.
